You have the power to change a student’s life forever. We offer the following sponsorship options for those who want to have a lasting impact and meaningful connection in a young person’s life.
Girl Power Kit
For $35 USD, you can keep a girl in school by providing her with a Girl Power Kit, containing 4 reusable sanitary pads, a bar of soap, and a short instruction manual on proper care. By providing a girl with one of these kits, she is automatically inducted into our “Girl Power Club,” receiving access to the monthly workshops and check-ins we provide to ensure that our girls are properly caring for and safely using their pads.
Literacy & Arts Scholarship
For $150 USD, you can provide a child with a yearlong membership to our Literacy & Arts Program. They will receive 3 classes/week to improve their reading, writing, and social studies. These classes are accompanied by arts classes in visual arts, music, and dance, and a weekly yoga class.
Computer Training Scholarship
For $90 USD, you can provide a teen or young adult with a monthlong membership to our Computer Training classes. These students meet 5 days a week and learn the computer literacy skills necessary to succeed in Uganda’s quickly-developing workplace. This includes use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, online research tools and more.
If you’d like to be present in a student’s life, we have a Hope Mentors Network, where we can match you with a student with whom you share similar interests or career goals. All of our students have access to internet while at the Hope Center, so if you’d like to be in touch, you can request their email address and begin a pen-pal friendship 🙂
