2018: Another Year for the Books!

Thank you all for another great year!

2018 saw some amazing accomplishments.

450 women enrolled in Uplift, our micro-loan and financial education program, were able to develop their small businesses and grow their community.

100% of these women have paid back 100% of their loans.

673 girls and young women enrolled in our Girl Power program have been reached with women’s health training and environmentally-friendly reusable sanitary pads kits.

120 children suffering from Nodding Syndrome received new clothes and books for Christmas, thanks to fundraising efforts from our Ugandan team.

House of Hope was officially opened: the milestone that founders Ella and Jamie have been looking forward to since the moment Hope Center Uganda was conceptualized in Gulu in 2015.

2019 promises to be just as impressive. This year, we will turn our focus inward as we continue to work towards a completely sustaining financial model. Long-term partnerships with businesses and other organizations, income-generating activities like micro-loans and vocational education courses, and ideas for a cafe, coworking space, and vegetable garden to be added to the Hope Center Uganda compound are just a few starting points for our team.

We greatly appreciate your support this year, and we look forward to continuing our journey with you!
