Last week, the students of Hope Center Uganda learned about simple farming, food sustainability and environmental education. Together we planted vegetable gardens, a small field of maize, and some passion, mango and avocado trees in an orchard around the grounds of the center. As these fruits grow, they won’t just be beautiful surroundings for the center, but they will provide delicious fruit and improved sustainability against the center’s feeding costs!
Huge thank you for our volunteer Max, who helped raise the money for the program, and our amazing staff Jackie, Jackson, Eddie, Mirriam and Kevin, who were all excited to get down and dirty in the farm work!
